Adopt A Patient Program

The UNC Health Nash Foundation, in partnership with Case Management at UNC Health Nash, is excited to introduce its newest volunteer initiative, Adopt A Patient. This program is designed to expand patient support beyond the hospital walls by connecting volunteers with individuals facing social isolation or challenges in managing their health. Volunteers will serve as a trusted resource, offering guidance and companionship through weekly phone calls. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure volunteers feel confident in their role. Each volunteer will dedicate 1-2 hours per week for six weeks, with the opportunity to continue for additional sessions. Through Adopt A Patient, we aim to foster meaningful connections that enhance the well-being of our patients and strengthen our community.
